V-I-E-R

The dance of the four swans in the classical ballet "Swan Lake" was the original inspiration for this 20 minute choreography that was mainly created for an outdoor space. Joy Alpuerto Ritter explores the strict synchronicity and discipline essential in classical dance with four urban dancers.

How can the four individualists navigate within a group with certain rules, what are their dependencies, desires, aspirations of belonging and freedom? How can you stay true to yourself, fulfill yourself, when you have to function within a strict framework?
